Why is it cool?

The To-Dos module allows you to effectively manage your tasks, break down your projects into smaller chunks, and not miss deadlines or milestones.

The To-Dos allows you to add, edit, delete, and track tasks and milestones. It is a comprehensive tool where you can create, and monitor tasks related to your project. This section is directly below the calendar and enables you to manage tasks like research activities, meetings, e.g. with your supervisor, and submission deadlines.

  • Usability
    • The interface is straightforward, allowing you to easily add tasks, and set deadlines. It helps you track progress and sends reminders by Email to keep your tasks on schedule.
      Tasks are color-coded in the following way:
      • yellow circle: that’s a task created by you, as the author of the writing project.
      • teal square: an external task or milestone that is given to you by your organization.
    • Example: You can create tasks for researching, drafting, and revising your paper.
    • Example 2: If you know that you’ll need to do some in-depth research, you can set a specific date in the To-Dos calendar for a visit to the library. By adding a task like “Visit the library to gather sources” and setting it a week before your first draft is due, you ensure that you allocate dedicated time for this important step.
    • Example 3: Schedule a meeting with your supervisor by adding a task like “Meet with supervisor to discuss progress” a few days before your project milestone. This ensures you have their feedback in time to make necessary revisions.

Tip: Prioritize tasks chronologically to ensure the most critical ones are completed first. Regularly updating your to-do list will help you stay on track.
