Audio Notes
Why is this useful?
In order to conveniently store an idea, or simply to be efficient about taking your notes ‘on-the-go’, you can use your microphone to speak a note into Mentafy.
What does it do?
This feature records audio, either from your cell phone or computer microphone, and transcribes it to text.
How to use this?
- Usability
- You can record by simply clicking the mic icon (available on all devices, i.e. desktop, phone, or tablet).
- You need to allow your browser or our app on your phone to access the microphone.
- When you are done with the audio recording, just click the ‘stop icon’. After a couple of seconds, the transcription of your audio note will appear in the activity stream.
- Example
- Don’t let a quick idea escape! You are on the road and have a great idea? With Mentafy you easily use audio notes for your documentation, ensuring you capture every thought instantly.

- Technical
- Your audio notes will be transcribed and the transcription is stored as an entry for your writing journal.
- Firefox currently does not allow us to record from your microphone. All other common browsers are supported.
