Taking Pictures

Why is it cool?
  • Anything you have in front of your eyes, that you want to remember or archive, you quickly take a picture of it. Mentafy will automatically document this as your research activity and store the file properly in your project folder so:

    • you save time by not having to move it there manually.

    • you have the research activity documented for your writing journal, so you can show off your personal contribution to your academic work.

When you use Mentafy on your cell phone or tablet and take pictures, this is recorded as a research activity in your writing journal, and the file is stored directly within your writing project folder.

  • Usability
    • You are working on your desktop and realize that you want to use your phone or tablet now to take a picture
    • You click ‘Share session to mobile’, which will provide you with a QR code that directly opens Mentafy on your mobile.
    • There click the camera icon and the picture you take now will be stored in your writing project folder.
    • Your research activity here also results in an entry in your Activity Stream, where you leave a comment regarding that picture as a reminder and/or a proper entry in your writing journal.
    • Examples:
      • Found an interesting book that could be useful for your research, but have no time to write it down? Just snap a pic with Mentafy and review it later!
      • Working on a project that involves investigating nature, plants, or conducting experiments? Easily capture photos and have them automatically included in your research protocol, keeping everything organized and in one place!
  • Technical
    • Every image is stored in the cloud and you can access it in the respective folder: Images.
